ASAP Rocky is rolling the dice with his assault with a deadly weapon trial that begins today. Prosecutors offered him a plea deal that came with a 180-day jail sentence, but he turned it down.

The rapper reportedly doesn’t want his billionaire girlfriend Rihanna, who is also the mother of his two sons, anywhere near his trial.

The jury is made up of 7 women and 5 men, none of which are black. A$AP, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, faces 24 years in prison if found guilty of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. The charges stem from an alleged dispute with A$AP Relli outside of a hotel in Hollywood in November of 2021.
