The wife of Top 10 Billboard hitmaker -‘Walk it Out’ and ‘2 Step’... rapper DJ Unk’s wife has confirmed that the cause of his death was a heart attack. The 43-year old artist and DJ, born Anthony Leonard Platt, died over the weekend in his sleep.

Before speculation could land a course, his wife Sherkita Long-Platt said contrary to the rumors, drugs had nothing to with the passing of her husband.

Sherkita announced his death Friday morning on Facebook posting, “I just lost my husband and my kids lost their father. Our life will never be the same. I LOVE YOU ANTHONY FOREVER.”

A vigil was held in the ATL, in his honor.

DJ Unk had a history of health issues. In 2009, he had a heart attack as well.

He leaves behind seven kids and an even bigger family in music.
