MARIETTA, GA — The Medical College of Georgia opens their newest regional campus at Wellstar’s Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Dr. David Hess, Dean of the Medical College of Georgia, says this is their first regional campus in metro Atlanta.

“60% of our students come from the Atlanta areas, so an Atlanta campus makes a lot of sense,” Hess said.

Hess says their multiple regional campuses are a pipeline to keep doctors in the state.

24 students will learn at the new campus each year.
