COBB COUNTY, GA — There’s a new park coming to the metro Atlanta area.

The Cobb Landmarks and Historical Society announced that they have funding to build a pocket park honoring late artist and Georgia native Nellie Mae Rowe.

The park will be on the site of her former home next to the Hotel Indigo in Vinings.

The society says the park marks a significant step toward preserving and celebrating Rowe’s contributions to American art.

It is expected to be completed by November.
